Happy Valentine's Day 2010

I've received pretty red roses from my husband and my close friend Eds today. We've had a dinner and movie date at Fashion Island Mall tonight. I didn't feel that we're celebrating a Valentine's date tonight because almost every week or anytime we are free we could just go out to see a movie and dine out. I guess, everyday is a Valentine's day for us. Everyday is filled with love, caring, thoughtfulness, sweetness and everything.

For once in my life, I've experienced this kind of relationship I always longing for. To love someone and be able to be loved in return. I am always thankful for this wonderful blessing. God is really good! Thank God.

Friday Madness with MC @ Wat Pho & Wat Arun via Chaopraya River

I haven't got a chance to post my blog last weekend because I got so tired. Actually, I still have pending blogs to make and I have no time to write as I got so tired from our Friday's trip with a good friend of mine. That was really a one day event and was exciting because it was my first time to travel around the City of Bangkok.

We met at Phra Khanong BTS station at past 9am, because I was late (yes! as usual~).

This picture was taken inside the BTS station (MRT/LRT in the PH)

A friend of mine took photos of me from my arrival up to the end of our journey :)

At the waiting area of Pier. We needed to ride a boat to reach our destination

picture taking by Chaopraya River, the biggest river in Bangkok.

bitter sweet smile under the sun, it really shows! this photo couldn't lie to me lololol

I couldn't smile any good because it's sooo HOT!

What were these people doing behind my back? :D

This photo is more beautiful if... there're no people standing behind me lololololol

We didn't know that taking a picture here will cost me 40 baht... huh? what on earth?! If I have known... I wouldn't try to do this, not worth of my money at all! charged to experience hmmmpp!

nice shot and me! :)

relaxing and recharging because I need more energy to go down stairs :D

We asked someone to take pictures of us together so we could keep them as remembrance about our exciting but tiring journey :)

MC and Me

She took a stolen shot of me, as I looked at the wonderful view of Wat Arun... :D

Standing in front of the reclining Buddha in Wat Pho. It was difficult to take photos here because there were many tourists that time, yay!

The face of the reclining Buddha.

MC and me, we were about to eat our dinner @ Japanese restaurant in Siam Paragon Mall. As usual... picture taking before we eat lololololol

My solo pic while we were dining that night, I changed my clothes and had to refresh because I was stinky (laughs)

Movie Date With My Sweetheart

Last Saturday, We went out to see a movie and to have lunch at the Mall Bangkapi. It is about 1 hour and half travel from our place by bus.

The Mall Bangkapi

Family Celebration Day last Weekend

There was a ferris wheel in front of the mall and a small program in the afternoon

Nice fall landscaped inside the mall

We've decided to watch "Brothers" because that was the only new movie on that day and we always have a movie date on weekends specially if there is an interesting film to watch. Check this link at you tube to see the movie trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XwabsKiaRIE

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0765010/

The story is about a young man comforts his older brother's wife and children after he goes missing in Afghanistan. Starring Natalie Portman, Tobey Maguire, and Jake Gyllenhaal; directed by Jim Sheridan. A good movie about family. I was teary eyed during and at the end of the movie.

After the movie, we ate at the Japanese restaurant in the mall. I was craving for seafoods yakisoba and deep fried dumplings. I enjoyed the food here but the price is really expensive.

The Filipino Restaurant Here In Bangkok

I went out for lunch this afternoon to meet my future business partner. She's been here in Thailand for so long and her family is also here. She invited me to eat at a Filipino restaurant located at Pridi Banomyong (aka Phra Khanong) Soi 40.

I rode bus 113 from Minburi then, went off at Ramkamhaeng Mall and transferred to bus 40. After I reached Phrakhanong station in BTS, I called her to meet me there as I didn't know how to get there at our meeting place. I worried that I got lost that day.

While waiting for her, I looked around and took a picture of what I found in that place.

The place I was at. They call this BTS Station (or the MRT counterpart in the Philippines)Phrakhanong

I glanced at the BTS route map.

I saw this interesting vehicle that looks similar to ours. They call it "tuktok"

The name of the restaurant is "Kumpleto" which means "complete" in the Filipino language. I looked at their menu for the day and I was surprised because they have caldereta (beef in yummy sauce) and bulalo (beef and bone marrow soup with cabbage) which are my favorite Filipino food. So we ordered them, not knowing that the bulalo soup we ordered was already good for 3-4 people and we were only two. The price per order is 250baht 😉

Caldereta- yummy sauce and meat. I will post my recipe there on my other blog "Food Tripping and Recipes", once I already tried cooking this.

Bulalo- I don't think my Sweetheart will love this because he likes saucy meat food like adobo, estofado, and caldereta but not this kind of food. But I really love this food because of the soup and the bone marrow so yummylicious! 😍

They also have a mini variety store inside the restaurant where you can buy Filipino products like canned and instant goods, snacks, hotdogs, and other processed meat.

Likewise, they have a social networking site to endorse their products and the Filipino restaurant.

My business partner having a bowl of bulalo soup.

I had fun eating there and I am looking forward to coming back soon. Now I know where to go if I am craving Filipino food... 😍

Manic Monday Afternoon

Big smile while having my iced green tea with mousse and loving it!
:D

A new friend of mine invited me to go out on a lunch date this afternoon. I had so much fun as we have some things in common like photography, traveling (lakwatsera), funny and fun to be with, both have a foreigner loved ones, etc.

We ate at one of our favorite restaurants here in Bangkok. We met at Fashion Island's Sizzler's Steak Restaurant. I ordered the beef steak and french fries. While waiting for my main course, I joined her at the salad bar buffet. I got the spinach soup and varieties of salad. We both loved the taste of salad there. And the cost was so cheap as compare to other buffet restaurants.

Salad galore, Watermelon shake, spinach soup and yummy garlic cheese bread :p

Beef steak with french fries for my main course

Chocolate, Blue berry Mousse and yummy jellies for our dessert

After lunch, we took a walk and went to Coffee World Cafe to have a cup of coffee.

Waffle pancakes courtesy of my friend

It's pretty nice that there's a wifi service for free because I brought my laptop with me this afternoon.

I really had fun today and I am looking forward for our next meeting which is next Friday and we're planning to go somewhere. I do not know the place but I am sure I will enjoy once again. I admire her skills in photography. Thanks, MC! :D
