Christmas Lunch Date at MK Restaurant Minburi Branch

Hello everyone!

Welcome or welcome back to my website. It’s me again for another blog about our lunch date at MK Restaurant in Bangkok. So right after the Christmas Mass at St. Thomas Church, we decided to have lunch at MK Minburi Branch, because we were craving Thai suki soup.

We ordered the Suki set worth 399B, then we added the veggie set 199B, crab and pork dumplings, crunchy pork or moo krop, bamee noodles (Thai style yellow noodles), refillable lemon iced tea, plain rice, and of course the Parfait Tower for dessert.

The total amount was 1,677 Thai Baht. The taste was great and our cravings were satisfied. MK is similar to Chowking and it’s very popular here in Thailand.

They also have a bowl of Thai suki which costs 99B, if you're dining in by yourself.

What are the lessons that we may be able to learn from "KathNiel's" Break-up?

No Copyright Infringement is Intended

I was saddened by the news when I heard that Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla otherwise known as "KathNiel" by their fans had already confirmed recently about their break up after being together for 11 years.

What are lessons that we may be able to learn from their break-up?

1. People change. No matter how much you give your all or 100% of your effort to someone, if they want to cheat or leave, you can’t do anything about it anymore. It's something that you can't control.

2. Faithfulness is rare nowadays. Perhaps it's too easy to change partners or replace anyone with a snap without weighing the pros and cons. 3. Be content if you are in a relationship. You have to stay committed. 4. When a woman finally gives up, she has already given many chances. There's a saying that nobody is perfect, it's true, but it should not be used as an excuse or scapegoat to commit more mistakes without any remorse. 5. Love yourself. Focus on your self-growth and goals. Your value doesn't decrease based on someone's inability to see your self-worth. 6. Surround yourself with the right people all the time. Your support system is very essential. Remove yourself from toxic people, behavior, relationships, connections, and environment. 7. It is their loss if they cheat on you, not yours. Cheating is a choice not just a mistake 8. Being in a long-term relationship does not guarantee a happy ending. 9. These days flirting with the opposite sex is seen as a normal thing notwithstanding if they're married or in a relationship. I admire how Kath handled the situation with humility, respect, decency, and wisdom.

10. You don’t have to beg them to stay; you have to choose yourself. Bounce back and move forward. There will be someone greater, more blessings will flow, and be sure to have some room for better opportunities. God is taking away something or someone because He wants you to trust in His perfect plan.

MK Restaurant: A Food Review

Hello Welcome or welcome back to my page! Today, I’m taking you to MK Restaurant here in Romklao. It’s very similar to Chow King Restaurant in the Philippines.

My favorite here is the Thai Suki which is a variant of hot pot, a communal dish where diners dip meat, seafood, noodles, dumplings, and vegetables into a pot of broth cooking at the table and dip it into a spicy "sukiyaki sauce" before eating.

For today, I’m by myself so I just ordered a suki bowl, fried chicken in sweet soy sauce with shredded seaweed on top, and 1 cup of rice.  A glass of refillable lemon iced tea for my drink. The total amount was 344.00 ThB.

I didn’t realize that the Suki bowl has got noodles in it. If I have known, I shouldn’t have ordered rice and fried chicken. It was all good and since it’s Sunday I have to spoil myself, so I’m gonna go to a Thai massage to relax.

This is my kind of self-care every week. Saturday is usually my “ME Time Self-Care” day. But, yesterday I went out with my girls to have a family bonding.

Please don’t forget to follow my Blog and my FB page @elektra7577. That’s all for today! Thank you.

Sometimes It Hurts To Help

As you get to know me, you'll know that I'm a big supporter of any group. I'm a great believer in reaching out to someone in need. Though I have limited resources. I'm not rich. I even have my own struggles. I have three children of my own to support. But, I have many skills to share with anyone who needs them.

On the other hand, when people see your generosity and helpfulness, there's a tendency that they might abuse and use you or misuse the resources that you've given them.

When people aren’t challenged to do as much as they possibly can to aid themselves, they learn to continuously look for answers, remedies, solutions, and fixes outside of themselves. They begin to feel powerless, useless, incapable, and needy. Because you're the solution to every problem that exists in their lives.

Apparently, the more they feel that way, the more they attract situations that prove them right. The more they attract those negative circumstances, the worse they feel. The worse they feel, the worse it gets. This cycle is a vicious one.

When helping ceases to inspire and empower, it can hurt so much. You'll feel being used, needed, and abused. You'll get exhausted from helping someone all your life for the same thing that they're supposed to outgrow or learn from. How else can they learn and adapt to their situation?

Before you can help someone break the cycle of enabling them to feel like a victim. When helping ceases to inspire and empower, it can hurt so much.

The worst scenario is that instead of being helpful and empathetic, you would end up becoming the bad guy for tolerating codependency, lack of enthusiasm or assertiveness, and the list goes on.

There is nothing wrong with deriving benefits from helping others, but you must really look at your motives when your helping is hurting someone else in the process. Once you know exactly what you’re getting from the enabling behavior, you can uncover the real issue. You can learn to meet your own needs in a way that is less destructive to you and others.

I'm Blessed

Sometimes the only solution is to let go. No more overthinking. No more crying. No excuses, no more headaches. Exhale, keep your sanity. Think of your mental health.

You're also important. Know who you are and what you can do.

Be comfortable in your own skin. Understand deeply that what people do is never a reflection of you, and is always their perception of life. Or probably the way they were brought up.

You are not for everyone and they are not always for you. When you're not included, invited, or considered, whisper to yourself,

“Thank you for the space necessary in my life for the people that matter most to me. I'm ready to face the new chapter of my life. I'm heading to where I wanna be. I am blessed.”
