Dinner Buffet with Sunset View via Meridian Cruise

I was invited by Ma'am Sia, my co-teacher last October for her birthday celebration. I got excited because it was the first time in my 14 years here in Thailand to be on a dinner cruise.  Perhaps, I don't know how to book or have no idea whatsoever. Probably waiting for someone to invite me or tell me how to book online. I know it's not rocket science, but partly because I already know that it's very expensive.  I was just observing and looking at some videos and pictures of my friends who had been there. Alas! Ma'am Sia has tried many dinner cruises in her entire life because when her family members, relatives, and friends visited Thailand, she would take them there.

I learned that it's not that expensive if you look for websites that offer a 50% discount. She claimed that Meridian had the best dinner in all. She booked 4 tickets for her chosen friends via Meridan Cruise Sunset View at 6PM. The meeting point was at Icon Siam Mall. The river is called Chaopraya. Its Thai name in English is "Mother of Water" or "MaeNam".

We arrived an hour early, so we strolled around and explored Icon Siam's market and tried some"free taste" food, as we passed by. It was a fun experience. Then, we boarded at our call time at 6PM. It was a two-hour trip cruising around Chaopraya looking at the hotel buildings, temples, and shopping malls from afar. We sat down and watched the sunset while listening to the live band singing Thai, English, and Tagalog songs. It was a dinner buffet. The food was sumptuous and delicious. There was a group of Pinoys who were also there singing Tagalog songs together with us. We were acknowledged by the singers at our table. The singers were fantastic!

They served seafood (oysters, crabs, shrimps, prawns, clams, squids), beef steak, chicken curry, seafood tom yum, shrimp fried rice, fried chicken, spring rolls, stir-fried chicken, bell pepper, and cashew, varieties of salad dishes, cakes and pastries, soft drinks, tea, coffee.

I will definitely come back. I would like to try to book and reserve seats for my family and close friends in the future.

Sometimes, it's not easy to go through. Maybe you don't wanna deal with Thai who can't speak English. Perhaps, too much hassle to get there via taxi from your hotel or somewhere in Bangkok. Restaurant Review: The Beach Cafe and Restaurant @Ladkrabang (near Suvarnabhumi Airport)

Do you wanna go to the beach but too busy to go out of town? Let’s go to the Beach Cafe and Restaurant in Ladkrabang. It’s near the Suvarnabhumi Airport. The location is along Latkrabang Road, opposite Paseo Mall. It’s famous for its name - The Beach in the middle of the city. It's really like going to the beach.

The Beach Cafe and Restaurant provides convenient parking. It has a variety of places to take selfies. I went here to attend my friend’s birthday party. We had a great experience, the servers were accommodating and friendly.

The food was very delicious and a little expensive, but the food presentation was fabulous, perfect for all occasions.

Recommended food to try: fried sea bass, papaya salad with fermented crab and fish, tom yum with seafood, pineapple fried rice, and seafood curry in a coconut. T
hey served the food a little late but everything was great.

They have indoor and outdoor areas that serve as venues for birthdays, parties, wedding venues, or receptions. Enjoy the beach-themed cafe and restaurant when you’re with someone special while listening to live romantic songs.

My Small Home Garden

Hi from Bangkok! Elektra here😍. Today I will blog about
my favorite plants. I couldn't imagine how blessed I am
to have many plants in my small garden. It almost
looks like a forest already.

Here are the top 4 of my favorite plants:

1. Monstera deliciosa, also known as the split-leaf philodendron or Swiss cheese plant, It’s a tropical plant often kept as a houseplant. It can grow just about anywhere in your home! It tolerates low light but grows faster and becomes more dramatic in a spot with indirect bright light. I water it every 1-2 weeks.

2. ZZ Plant -  I like it because can eliminate toxins or filter airborne toxins that are in the air and can absorb carbon dioxide from the air. Many people put this plant inside their bedrooms or bathrooms for better surroundings. I love to put it on the staircase. It’s very easy to grow, I usually water it once or twice a week.

3. Snake plant - It is a resilient succulent that can grow anywhere. They are both indoor and outdoor. I don’t need to water them daily.

4. The last one is the Rubber Tree it can produce lots of oxygen—more than any other plant, in fact! In addition to producing oxygen and eliminating air toxins,
the rubber tree effectively removes mold spores and bacteria from the air.

By the way, as you noticed I show more than 4 kinds of plants in the video. I have so many plants. Perhaps you would ask where did I get all these? I got these from somewhere and others are from someone. Did I buy all of them?

The answer is both yes and no. When I started collecting plants, I bought worth 500B plants. Since I had yet to gain experience. I chose to buy the cheapest one. The Golden photos cost around 20B for each small pot.

I bought snake plants, then cacti, ZZ Plants, and then was fascinated by rubber trees and Monstera. Most of my plants were given as a gift on my birthday, Christmas, and housewarming. My co-teacher neighbor who lived in front of our house recently moved out, she said she didn’t wanna bring some of her plants so she gave them away. Just like that! I was so grateful because I’m collecting and selling plants, too.

That's all for today. I hope you enjoy watching this video and if you have any questions about how to grow plants just like what you see in the video? Please send me a private message or drop it in the comment section below. See you again on my next vlog. Bye

Blog Review: Wanichcha Café in Ongkharak District (Nakhon Nayok) 2/4 Cafe Hopping Escapades

Hello everyone welcome or welcome back to my new

vlog about our cafe hopping escapade to Ongkharak

District, Nakhon Nayok Province two weeks ago. So

for those of you who haven’t watched the first vlog

about Kopi House, there’s a link in the comment

section below.

This is Lizza, my co teacher and friend.

Up next, we went to Wanichcha Cafe. It’s a minimalist nature cafe near Khlong 15, Nakhon Nayok Province. Let me tell you that this place is not only good with a unique coffee shop that looks like a cute house. But they also have this super cool tree maze! Which is the highlight of this shop. Come and take photos or have fun walking around this maze and you’ll definitely lost on your way in and out.

The shop is decorated like a simple home. It's a small house. Located amidst fields and green trees. The interior is decorated in pastel colors. Emphasize openness and large mirrors. Gives a soft Korean feel. Overall, the atmosphere is good. Plus a lot of photography angles for your selfies.👍📸

As for food, There is a complete selection of soda drinks,

smoothies, snacks, and homemade pizza. At a very low

price! Starting at just 35 baht. The drinks aren’t

expensive either. I ordered iced strawberry matcha

for 95B. There are other coffee drinks that cost less

than 100B. There’s a parking space available for those

who have cars.

Wanichcha Café 🦋

Khlong 15, behind Santitham Temple

Opens at 9AM-9PM (closed on Mondays)
