Blog Review: Wanichcha Café in Ongkharak District (Nakhon Nayok) 2/4 Cafe Hopping Escapades

Hello everyone welcome or welcome back to my new

vlog about our cafe hopping escapade to Ongkharak

District, Nakhon Nayok Province two weeks ago. So

for those of you who haven’t watched the first vlog

about Kopi House, there’s a link in the comment

section below.

This is Lizza, my co teacher and friend.

Up next, we went to Wanichcha Cafe. It’s a minimalist nature cafe near Khlong 15, Nakhon Nayok Province. Let me tell you that this place is not only good with a unique coffee shop that looks like a cute house. But they also have this super cool tree maze! Which is the highlight of this shop. Come and take photos or have fun walking around this maze and you’ll definitely lost on your way in and out.

The shop is decorated like a simple home. It's a small house. Located amidst fields and green trees. The interior is decorated in pastel colors. Emphasize openness and large mirrors. Gives a soft Korean feel. Overall, the atmosphere is good. Plus a lot of photography angles for your selfies.👍📸

As for food, There is a complete selection of soda drinks,

smoothies, snacks, and homemade pizza. At a very low

price! Starting at just 35 baht. The drinks aren’t

expensive either. I ordered iced strawberry matcha

for 95B. There are other coffee drinks that cost less

than 100B. There’s a parking space available for those

who have cars.

Blog Review: Kopi House Cafe and Restaurant in Ongkharak District (Nakhon Nayok) 1/4 Cafe Hopping Escapades

Welcome or welcome back to my Blog. Today’s topic is my blog review about the KOPI HOUSE CAFE AND RESTAURANT in Ongkarak District.

The main entrance is so fabulous. There's a wide space for parking. The iconic building with a windmill is visible from the entrance. There are many angles for taking nature-themed photos to choose from. It was cloudy and humid when we came so the quality of the pictures and video weren't that great. Please check their FB page via the link below to see more stunning images of the area. I recommend this place for your next photoshoot.

You may wanna take pictures near the pond or the artificial waterfall behind the building. Their restaurant inside has an air-conditioned room. On the second floor is the smoking area, it’s nice to take pictures overlooking the whole area. Please watch the videos above to see what's inside or check my FB page Elektra @elektra7577.

We came in a group of 13 ladies, 1 child, and 1 tour guide. We ordered Pad Thai, Yum Moon Sen (Spicy Vermicelli Noodles Salad with Minced Pork and Shrimp), Shrimp Fried Rice, and 3 flavors of Pizza.

Pad Thai (Palabok Style in the Philippines)

Yum Moon Sen - It tastes like "kilawin pancit sotanghon" 😅😍 but yummy

(Spicy Vermicelli Noodles with Minced Pork and Shrimp Salad)

Thin Crust Pizza with Seafood

(we ordered 3 different flavors, one in each group)

Khao pad Goong (Shrimp Fried Rice)

The food was super delicious. The serving size was quite smaller than I expected, but I’m sure they all deserve the prize. This was our first stop for coffee shop hopping. I was looking forward to the next one and I hope it was as wonderful as Kopi House, apparently, it’s the opposite.

way, we’re so excited to take photos of each corner so my mobile went on low battery mode already. The rate is 10/10. We went to 4 coffee shops and I would say this is number 1 for me ❤️ It's definitely the best.

If you're interested to come and visit Kopi House Cafe and Restaurant, you may visit their FB Page - https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100088156661405, and Contact No. 092 536 9228.

If you want a tour guide or companion, please send me a private message for booking through my FB page Elektra @elektra7577. In case you're planning for a coffee hopping around Bangkok areas or nearby provinces. I'll send you an itinerary and other options/suggestions that would match your budget.

ESL 101: How to start teaching English Conversation

Hello everyone! Welcome or welcome back to my blog. Today, I will share with you private tutoring tips that I used for many years now. I've been teaching my two students since they were in elementary and until now that they're in high school.

Learning to speak English or any language requires consistent effort and patience. It needs a lot of practice. The teaching tools I used for English conversation were flashcards, a wheel of questions, and short videos that they needed to summarize into 3-5 sentences, they also answered questions based on each short video. Here are some questions to ask if you use short stories or short videos:

🦋 What is the title of the video?

🦋 What is the main topic and what did you understand?

🦋 What can you say about the story or the current events or the moral of the story?

🦋 Who are the main characters?

🦋 Who is the author or writer?

🦋 What is the setting of the story?

🦋 What is the issue or problem in the story?

🦋 What do you think is the best title of the story?

🦋 What is the moral lesson? How do you apply it in real life?

🦋 What do you think is the best ending of the story?

They can use their gadgets (iPad or mobile) to look up online vocabulary words that are being discussed. Or use Google Translate if they don't know how to say it in English. Although some of the words are poorly translated in English. I just have to guide them and explain the words in a way that they would easily understand.

Their favorite was the Wheel of Questions where they would spin a wheel and get a random question (of what ifs?) to answer and share their thoughts, feelings, and experiences. Example questions like:

🦋 What if everything you touched turned to chocolate? What will you do and why?

🦋 What if social media didn't exist? How would things be different?

🦋 What if you were the king of Thailand for a day? What laws would you implement?

🦋 What if you had superpowers? What would you do?

For those of you who want to teach private lessons, you may wanna consider Coffee shops like Cafe Amazon as your venue, because it’s cheap. You just need to order something to drink or any snack. I often order an iced cold cappuccino with a slice of cake.

I like it here for privacy reasons and it’s airconditioned. The staff here are polite they don’t bother you, it’s usually quiet and peaceful here so no worries.

IEP Open House 2023: Y6B Egyptian Theme

Here’s my super late post about our September 13, 2023, Open House. The majority of the parents came to watch their children present their projects for Social, Science, and Computer subjects.

The Open House was held in our very own classroom. Our theme was Egypt Two weeks before the show, I instructed my Year 6B students to make arts and crafts related to Egypt like the ones you see in the pictures.

This was the program of activities.

Group 1: Bridge, Tunnel, and the Mountain Model

Group 2: Maze made of feature board

Group 3: Water Wheel Model

Arts and crafts with the parents making a pyramid pop-up card.

If you wanna know how to make these arts and crafts please DM me for more information.

There were also other art projects that weren’t related to Egypt, but I thought maybe parents were interested to see them.

I love making miniatures so I made a 3d model of Egypt. The big picture in front of the class was painted by my previous students. She also made two (2) camels for me. I paid her less than 1,000 THB for her labor and materials. I know I'm not good at drawing or painting, it's not my cup of tea. I'm into arts and crafts. But my kids are good at drawing and sketching.

Students danced to the tune of Black Horse by Katy Perry. They were outstanding dancers. One of the best. This ends my blog so bye for now.
Group picture with the parents and students.

Happiness is a choice we make everyday

People are about as happy as they make up their minds to be according to Abraham Lincoln. What does that mean to you? For me, it means that we all live in a world where we create our own happiness. Our happiness and our sadness are mostly about how we choose to view things. It’s an inside job, a state of mind. We can have everything in the world and still be miserable, or we can have little and feel great joy. I would say that happiness is a choice we make every day.

If we focus more on what we have rather than what we don't have, we will be happy. Happiness is not something that we get from the outside, it comes from a place within. It’s a state of being that we can uncover within, connect to, and choose to “be” anytime. We only need to be grateful every single day for everything that we have and accept ourselves and the things that we don’t possess.

It sounds very idealistic, but we are not meant to feel happy all the time. Life is difficult. We suffer, we feel pain, we feel alone, we feel abandoned. We are human. This is the truth. I also believe that our greatest obstacle to the choice of happiness that lies within is basically our mind.

We think over a million thoughts a day with more than half being negative, and 85% of the negative thoughts we’ve had over and over for years because we couldn't just move on. We still tend to cling to our past.

And so many of the negative thoughts that we have are directed at us. We are constantly bombarded with thoughts that we’re not worthy, enough, or incapable, not beautiful enough, not sexy healthy, or fit enough. And to which standards do we base these judgments, self-criticism or negative self-talk? Are we happy comparing ourselves to others or believing whatever social media and the latest trends are projecting?

Comparison is a thief of joy. We should embrace our truest selves and learn to love ourselves for who and what we are. We shouldn't direct these harmful, false, negative thoughts non-stop to ourselves. If we want to be truly happy, we must first begin by being happy, proud, kind, loving, thoughtful, generous, and grateful for who we are as extraordinary human beings. The friendship we have with ourselves is the greatest foundation for everything we do in life. And most especially your faith in God🦋

When we love ourselves completely and become worthy travel companions for life’s journey, then we can see “something beautiful” in our lives when we’re feeling low and sad. When we truly believe deep within our hearts, that we are worthy of happiness, we will begin to see happiness. Be brave and have a little faith, We’ve got this.
